Sob Story
Sob Story is a 2003OTTB (Off-the-Track-Thoroughbred). She is a retired racehorse and has a lip tattoo to prove it. We know very little about her racing career. She was adopted in 2015 as a rescue when her owner could no longer afford to take care of her. She was stabled with her daughter, Schatzi B who was adopted at the same time.

She was 12 at the time she was adopted and very thin! You could see every rib, her backbone, and her hips. She added about 200 lbs. in weight within the first two months of her move to Linden. Her feet were also very long with the toes turning up. However, her quality and breeding were apparent when she was lunged, and she has become a great asset to Linden Farm.

Ethan Walker rode her to a Championship and a Reserve Champion in the 2015 & 2016 Mounted Wanderers 4-H Show Series. In 2017 and 2018 Ethan rode her in the BEST show Series at the PG County Show grounds in low Jumpers doing fast courses of 15 to 20 fences at 2’3”and 2’6”. She sustained an injury to her stifle when she hit a jump standard in the last Jumper show of her last season in 2018.
She is great Trail horse and Ethan rode her at several Hunter Pace Events. As a Dressage Horse she Championed at Training Level 2 and 3 for three years in a row.
Sob is 20 now and we only jump her over small 18-inch fences due to her age and her old injury. She is on monthly medication (as are many of our senior horses) to help keep her joints operating smoothly.
